Certificate III in Hospitality (SIT30622)

This qualification is delivered from a live hospitality venue in New Farm, Brisbane, and provides individuals with a range of hospitality (food and beverage) skills, ready to be applied to the real work environment..
Graduates will have capability to seek work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
This offering is offered to people who have little to no exposure to hospitality, apart from perhaps by studying the Certificate II in Hospitality whilst at high school, or by doing some casual work in a hospitality or retail work venue such as a pub, club or food retailer. It runs for 5 weeks, before students enter into an on-the-job component where they must complete 36 shifts of work placement to graduate. Please note, this program does involve an intensive pace of hands-on learning as well as additional homework to be completed each day and between classes.
